The purpose of the Construction Acceptance Walk is to hold your construction team – or General Contractor – accountable to your expected delivery standards. We inspect each home for compliance with the NAHB’s Residential Construction Performance Guidelines. All deficiencies are documented and loaded into our web based Punch List management system. This allows your superintendent to efficiently notify/schedule the various trades to get the home punched out. It provides management statistical feedback to improve the construction process and serves as a report card on your construction team.
This process generally takes place a minimum of 1 to 2 weeks prior to the scheduled New Home Orientation with the purchaser. The purchaser shouldn’t be used as a punch list generation tool to figure out what still needs to be completed on the home.
